OLED's superior contrast performance arguably has the edge, but there's no taking away from QLED that it's capable of producing superb HDR pictures, particularly Neo QLED screens like the Samsung QN95D, which offer even greater brightness.

Quantum dots are able to emit precise coloured light because particle sizes adjust at quantum-level velocities, resulting in accurate and efficient light emissions. This is the main reason why QLED technology is synonymous with tremendous improvements in overall picture quality.

Neo QLED is generally best when used in a brightly lit room. Thanks to its Mini-LED backlight and its ability to produce a higher level of brightness, it's great for a light and airy TV room setup. In contrast, OLED is best for darker environments but it provides viewers with better color reproduction when doing so.
